Good morning Zoidsters! The wand SC was updated yesterday in order to make optimisations regarding gas consumption. We are pushing the limits of SC development in order to better understand the limits of financial operations on bloackchains technology. At the moment all of your interactions with our smart contracts are done directly between your browser and the smart contract, there is no other source of infromation or another agregator. This offers us and our clients ownership of the infrastructre and ensures that there are no attack vectors from third parties. The results of pushing these limits are seen in the issues regarding WAND farm. With every transaction and day the SC has to do more and more operations in order to calculate rewards based on historic data. Due to the closed approach of smart contracts this is not an easy feat. After many iterations and aproaches the final result consists in creating an extra layer for data transperency that will handle this complexity. The development of this layer requried a lot of data and cases in order to have a better aproximation of the blockchain state, which again smart contracts are not renowned for making it easy. Currently we are testing a new interface for better transparency of the rewards. Should be up in the next couple of days.
